Teams
In the first 3 weeks of the season all teams will be reviewed and changes will be made where necessary to ensure all our players can get the most out of each game. If your child is being moved to another team this will be communicated to you by our Junior Coordinator Cate Butinar.

U10
This season the U10 Boys and Girls will be playing a round robin each week. They will play 2 x 16 minute games each week (instead of one 34 minute game).

Supervision
Please ensure that your children are supervised at all times. We love seeing all those kids running up to that stadium after school but we can not be responsible for them so we ask that if your children will be there without you then you arrange another parent to supervise them. We thank you for your understanding and support with this.

Reminders

  • No outside balls in the stadium. This includes the foyer area.

  • Basketball is one of a few user groups that now call the stadium home. There are numerous other rooms in the building, and these are used by other user groups and we ask you to please respect their rooms and do not try and access them.

  • There are also other user groups at the showgrounds, so we ask you to please respect their facilities. Please dont use basketballs to shoot in the netball rings on the outside courts as it damages the rings.

  • There is a drink fountain outside the front of the stadium (on Station Road side) that can be used to get a drink or refill drink bottles. We will also have bottles of water for sale in the canteen.

    Green Shirt Program
We run a green shirt program which is a beginner course for referees aged 13years +. These referees are just learning so please be mindful of this, they are trying their best and they will make mistakes but we are providing them will a supportive, fun environment to learn. Without referees there wont be any games so please support them. Anyone interested in becoming a green shirt referee please contact Nat Whitcher.

    Coaches
Our coaches will be working hard to develop all players this season. This includes equal court time for all player (excluding finals)
A copy of our coaching guidelines can be found on our website.

Parents please be mindful that you may not know the instructions a coach has given your child. We LOVE cheering and positive reinforcement from the stands but please reframe from ‘coaching’.
